Tried it so you don’t have to!
The onsen was incredible! with stunning views and each room had robes for a relaxing experience. Excellent location near Lake Ashi and shops adds convenience.
Housekeeping was lacking, leading to a sense of neglect. Expect late night door curfews that can disrupt your plans.

beautiful views over Lake Ashi, traditional Japanese-style rooms, onsen with mountain/lake view
Improvements needed in cleaning standards!!! Futons are too thin for comfort, and there’s no wifi in rooms—quite inconvenient!!! The hotel shows signs of wear and tear, needing renovations throughout!!!

The breathtaking views of Lake Ashi from our room were unforgettable, and the kids loved the traditional tatami mats. Our stay was made even better since the hotel is just a minute's walk from the picturesque lake cruises, perfect for family sightseeing!

The beautiful view of Lake Ashi from my room was a highlight, especially early in the morning when the sky was clear. The traditional kaiseki dinner served in our room truly impressed us, delivering a wonderful taste of Japanese cuisine. While the bathroom was quite small, the onsen experience made up for it, providing a relaxing way to unwind after a day of exploring. However, some of the communal areas felt a bit dated, and the lack of alternative dining options could be limiting for some. Overall, it was a delightful mix of culture and comfort.
